I was good friends with chris and would be up there rocking the party with him. He played some amazing sets back to basics lve nation in search of kaha just to name a few. Yes he was near impossible to argue with - eventually I learned not to do this as it was counter productive, and often afterwards I would find out he was right anyways. I think his straight up no bullshit approach is what got so many people's back up... but when that energy was translated through vinyl and speakers it really got the party going.. like no one else in the scene at the time. I truely miss him as a friend. Someone who would help me with my production, listen carefully and provide insightful feedback for my mixes, and lend or even give me audio equipment when ever I needed it. As with all great artists some scum bags came into his life and took advantage of his generous nature. I have not seen him since about 2006, and was greatly dissapointed when he was billed for the re-union party at the metro but never turned up. This may be beacuse an unscrupulous promoter was cashing in on his name, or it could have just be chris being chris - we will never know. Chris mate, if your out there drop your forry boys (JB & SS) a line.

Anyone doubting that he was better than carl cox needs to get a history lesson - I was there at the table when Carl himself told chris he preferred his 3 decks style to his own.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4882982147712910893.post-84986539394986607302013-02-23T17:07:03.806+11:002013-02-23T17:07:03.806+11:00crisis always got the party moving. He was a fukn legend of the time.anyway I'm goin to enquire about were he is now that he has been brought up and it's a good excuse to speak to some old mates to . Sometimes he got a bit messy, but when he was on point he had the place going off big time. Never forget the time at DJ SHADES Rave Back In Time on the rooftop when CRISIS had the place going NUTS and the floor was moving up and down and people were loving it so much, then the power cut out, as it got overloaded or something, Came back on not too long after and the crowd cheered and got right back into the music. CRISIS always seemed to be way ahead in getting new, advanced techno before most the other syd dj's.

Another tape i recall of his was MASTER BLASTER.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4882982147712910893.post-9505489860234863912012-02-19T21:13:32.519+11:002012-02-19T21:13:32.519+11:00he is not missing and he couldnt mix to save his l...he is not missing and he couldnt mix to save his life.He WILL tell you though that he was better than carl cox,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4882982147712910893.post-52945707378194195122011-09-22T00:17:19.396+10:002011-09-22T00:17:19.396+10:00Anonymous said...
